本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛We have two little sofas, which are soft and foldaway. Every night, Jason likes to play with them. There are so many ways to do with two sofas. He can jump on them as a punch. He also can pull them up as ladder or slide way. And recently he builds them as homes. One for him, one for me. It is like two little doghouses or camp tents. We crawl inside to own home. And he pretends to ring the doorbell and visit me with gifts. If I forget to say “ thank you”, you will remind me gently. If he forgets to bring gifts, he will run away quickly, bring gift back and say “sorry”. The interested thing is he always ask me, his dad to use English version when saying thank you, sorry. But for his grandparents, if they use English version, then he will correct them to use Chinese. “XieXie”,”Dui bu qi”.
He also can identify English songs and Chinese songs. We often play some songs when driving. One day, He said, “ This song talks in English, sings in Chinese..” We all broke to laugh. He was right. Some times kids are more observant than adults.
He likes to help, and he has a good memory. He remembers where things keep, so sometimes, if we forget something, we will ask him to find it out. He is looking forward to grow up. And he would like to play balls. We challenge him to get taller and stronger if he really wants to play balls like uncles or even his friends. So every day he is so eager to eat the multi-vitamin because we keep saying it help to grow up.
Some times, he claims he is Chinese not Canadian. I guess because his grandparents told him they want to go back china. But he cannot. Grandma said to him, I would take airplane back to china. He replied, I want to get taller and grab you back from airplane…
Since the holiday season is coming, and Jason’s birthday is approaching. We will have a few parties to host. Now we are busy to decorate our revolving stairs. Jason helped me a lot. And we pulled beautiful leave curtain along the stairs. It looks like you walk through the forest. He is so good. He carefully maintains the decoration. Before long I was worried that he would damage it. Now my doubt is gone. We can put more decorations.
