The Toroncolor Photography Association will be hosting a Grand BBQ at Sunnybrook Park in the heart of city to celebrate its 3rd Anniversary.
Three experienced yet aspiring beauties will star as guest models. All members old and new and their families are welcome. For a token fee of $5.00, participants will enjoy a satiating picnic surrounded by diversified wildflowers, ferns and shrubs; capture with their viewfinders the regenerated forest beauty; and find fun through interlude activities like portraiture tips, games as well as lucky draws and giveaways.
The Sunnybrook bash is only one in an array of events among the Association’s anniversary festivities. A prelude to the BBQ has been neatly organized for May 15, another Sunday, when TPA President Po Chung Kwok will direct an Indoor Portraiture Workshop in the city’s west end. The 4-hour workshop will feature professional models and focus on special lighting techniques.
Also waiting in the wings are another even more tantalizing portraiture, the Toroncolor Beauty of Nature, to be set in one of best-known conservation areas in Ontario in June; and A Midsummer Day’s Dream in Bikini, a cool delight in the heat of July.
“By looking wide, sipping green, and shooting the true colours of the world around, members have finally witnessed the maturing of our association,” says President Kwok. “Photo-enthusiasts of our days will gradually develop greater self-awareness amidst the environment. No more are they passive shooters or theorists. They are naturalists, conservationists, or even engage themselves in effort to strengthen social harmony.”
