You are right, it depends. Anyway I'd like to see a simple background.

ding_ding(丁_丁)
The first one, the color of the flower is great, but the stone isn't (the color don't match with the flower). If you want show detail of the stone, make it clear, if not, stay away from it.

The second one, the background is not that good, "乱", more aperture, try shade more light on flower (make background darker)

The third one, remove the second flower, or put it at the same level as the first one.

The last one, this one is the best.

For all these four, there is a drawback, lack of the change of shade.

Anyway, it's only my personal view.

            一张张的看，第一张花与石头的对比，第二张从纷乱中脱颖而出，第三张虚实以及不同方向的对比，第四张色彩的搭配不错，另外右下两个花蕾(?)也一定程度上起到了平衡构图的作用。

            考虑背景的最重要的意图是要突出主体，这几张照片来看，主体已经很鲜明的表现了出来，所以，背景再压暗一些个人认为没必要了。

            常常见到一些照片，背景用黑板遮挡，或者压得很暗，这种照片不是不好，但会显得过于单调。拍摄这样的照片，前题条件是花卉本身应该是很有内容的，光线，姿态都是需要考虑的因素，否则很容易拍成花卉教科书中的插图。

                第一张，我想作者是想表现花朵与石头的对比，一鲜艳，一灰暗；一柔软，一坚硬，如果石头的细节清晰，那么会不会出现你说的背景杂乱的情况呢？如果离开石头，我想作者所想表现的意图也就随之改变了。

                第三张，这张照片两朵花的形式是完全相反的，一正一反，一实一虚， 位置处于两个相对的点上，我想这样的手法，也是作者想表现一些什么吧，如果两朵花是一样的，恐怕整个的照片又是另一种完全不同效果。

                我觉得，观赏摄影作品，除了看作者的摄影技巧以外，更主要的是看作者想通过照片所表现出来的东西，了解了这些，才可以真正看懂一张照片。

                    首先，rolia是个论坛，这里是摄影艺术的子论坛（我可以这么说吧），论坛就是讨论的地方，为什么“rolia is not the right place to discuss that”？这里看起来还是挺热闹的啊，也看到许多的热心人。

                    我不明白你说的most rolian like you没有太多的时间去花在这个hobby上，我有些不理解，如果你说的hobby是指你没时间拍摄照片的话，那与在这里的发贴讨论好像没有太大关系，如果指的是你没有时间在这里讨论，那么别人是不是可以在这里讨论呢？

                    最后，如果你觉得这里不是讨论的地方，想讨论的话就不要来了，那也请明示，我这个新人也就不要来了。

                    观点不同，看法不同，这是太正常不过的事情，求同存异嘛，本来是交流来的，有时间就多说几句，没时间就少说几句吧。

                      去翻翻旧贴子，没有人关心如何去拍好片子，一些大虾也是来show一下。好了，还是老话，多看看，多练习，虽说摄影是个人的东西，但毕竟是表达个别人看的，要不也没有必要贴到网上来。凡事都有个评价的标准，多对比，就可以发现差距，才能提高。

                        原来的贴子没怎么翻看过，有时间会去看看。话说回来，论坛这种地方，从来是适合自己，就留下，不适合，就走。去留无意也是一种境界。
