We are sorry that there is no display on the LCD screen of your Sony DSC-F717 Camera. We suggest that you check if you're able to view the formerly recorded images (the images which had recorded before the issue occurred) correctly in the Camera. If you're able to do the same, the issue may be with the CCD of the camera.

It has come to Sony of Canada Ltd.'s attention that a limited number of Sony digital camera, camcorder and personal digital assistant (PDA) products that incorporate a charge-coupled device (CCD) or image sensor device, manufactured from October 2002 through March 2004, may exhibit the following condition:

When the product is used in camera mode, the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and/or electronic viewfinder displays either a distorted image or no image at all. Please click the URL link below to review the information:
