本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Dear Mr. Marco Smits,

I am very concerned about what happened recently between some barbaric local residents and possibly illegal Asian Canadian fishmen.

Canada is governed by law, and that might be the reason I came here.

I am very surprise that someone from your town pushed a fishman off a bridge into the water. If I were the victim, I am a dead man now because I can not swim. We heard scary stories about someone was pushed down to the subway before the train coming, and I can not believe similar terrible things happened in your town. From all I know about the police report, they were fishing at a place where it is legal. I would say even if their fishing were illegal, do they deserved to be pushed out of Bridger and killed? It's a murder attempt.

If I were the one who find someone fish at illegal place, I would call police. We pay tax to support police office and it is their duty to deal with illegal actions, not you nor me.

It seems that you asked a question about why do they fish at night. I would say that is a freedom, one can fish anytime if he wants, I can not find regulations that specify you must fish during certain time. Can you?

And you also asked question about delayed police report. If I were the one who were pushed into water, maybe I never expect such terrible thing could happen to me and totally in shock, or my cell phone is wet. If what was reported is true, does it really matter?

We have a tradition of respect elder people in our community. Eventfully everyone will become old one day if you don't die incidentally. Confucius (551BC - 496BC) said, "love your old parents so you can also love other old people, and love your little kids so you can love other kids too." It is very hard for us to understand a 73 years old man was beaten that bad.

If the environment preserve is what you really care, I think this could be done through your local MPP to the Ministry of National Resources, to expect a change of the fishing law or increase the fishing license fee. Not through death threaten and violent actions.

We believe the golden rule: "What one does not want for oneself, one ought not to do to anyone else", can you imagine yourself being thrown into water?

Marcel Jean, 50, of Thunder Bay, has been fined $75 for packing fish so the numbers could not be readily counted. He was stopped at a road check near Red Lake on August 3, 2003.

Three men have each been fined $50 for angling with more than one line:
      · Donald Bender, 67, of Baraboo, Wisconsin, had been fishing at Nungessor Lake on June 12, 2003.
      · James Evans, 29, of Gray Lake, Illinois, had been fishing at Gullrock Lake on July 1, 2003.
      · Rodger Moore, 49, of Naperville, Illinois, had been fishing at Genessee Lake on July 8, 2003.

All the fish have been seized and forfeited to the Crown.

The Review-Mirror has tried to reach the group responsible for the pamphlets distributed in Westport by contacting the email address provided, but no one responded. A Google search for BetterCanada2007, the name associated with the provided contact information on the pamphlet returned only one result, posted on an internet blog Sept. 29

      • Chinglish. even if I rewrite it for u, u probably won't see the difference and curse me for looking down on u instead.
        • on 2nd thought, I cheer for u because u r standing up.
          • waiting for your 3rd thoguths ....
          • please rewrite it then.
      • good one.
      • You sound like you are a member of Better Canada 2007 because you knew the reporter's questions. I suggest you leave out two paragraphs of answers that implies this (fishing at night and delayed police report),
unless you are indeed a member of Better Canada 2007. Those answers do not seem very good anyway.
      • have you send it yet?
        • Should I send it twice?
          • did that gay reply?
    • Send flyers to Westport, tell them if they dare come to Toronto, we will beat them out of the town
Raymond Zee
      • 18号的文章已经收到Archives里边去了,“Debate of abuse of anglers continues”。
