Explore the possibilities of this opportunity to apply your technical expertise and help safeguard our natural resources. The Ministry of Natural Resources is committed to protecting and managing the province`s natural resources and is looking for two motivated, service and team-oriented professionals who are eager to advance their careers in natural resource conservation. As a member of the enforcement team, and able to communicate in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), you will: participate in the delivery of a multi-service integrated compliance program; deliver compliance plans; provide education and information related to natural resource management and protection.


Qualifications:proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese); knowledge of and experience in natural resource and public safety-related legislation, enforcement, investigative techniques, rules of evidence, laying charges, testifying in court, preparing Crown briefs and applications for search warrants and court procedures; knowledge of natural resource management principles; communication/presentation skills; interpersonal skills in negotiating and participating in conflict resolution; organizational, analytical, planning, investigative and intelligence gathering skills; ability to work independently; computer skills; proficiency in operating/maintaining water craft, snowmobiles and ATVs; ability to qualify as a conservation officer and complete use of force training and firearms certification; valid driver`s licence, standard first aid, pleasure craft operator`s licence, proof of passing Ontario`s Hunting Licence Exam and Canadian Firearms Safety Course.

NOTE: Incumbent is required to work effectively in inclement weather and to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required. Willingness to travel for extended periods of time with little or no prior notice and to work in remote isolated location(s). A CPIC check will be conducted.
