Leslie Street Spit again - Lakeshore and Leslie. That's kind of my back yard now. By the way, I don't think these are Arctic Terns, according to my poor knowledge. I think they are Common, or possibly, Foster's Terns. Any idea? -stargazer0310(Don Kuan); 2008-7-8 (#4545206@0)

Actually, I'm not a competent birder yet. Sure, all terns look very similar. They are one of the best models for flight shot. Their fabulous red bills and feet and elegant posture in the air, except that they've got a black cap merged with a pair of pure black eyes making the eyes barely visible. I need a more powerful flash coupled with Better Beamer to light up the eyes next time. I wish I can go there everyday and shoot all-day-long. simply love these quarelling little things.

If you look inside here: http://www.pbase.com/andrewkuanlu/gull_and_tern, you will see that most of these were captured with the long discontinued Canon 500mm F4.5 L USM. Not a bad lens, but I wish it had IS or the aperture was F4..... -stargazer0310(Don Kuan); 2008-7-10 (#4549936@0)
