Toronto, Ont. - Toronto Mayor David Miller had to answer some difficult questions, Wednesday, after returning from a family vacation in Vancouver, B.C. that took him away from managing the aftermath of the massive Sunrise Propane explosion.
Miller said he was with family in B.C. celebrating his daughter's birthday -- that was the explanation he gave reporters who grilled him about his absence during the explosion fallout.
But, many Torontonians feel this was his time to show true leadership. "He's a representative of everyone in Toronto and he should be here when bad things happen to us, as well as the good," one man told 680News.
The mayor also gave an update on the explosion clean up, saying asbestos will be completed cleared by the end of the week.
