I have another suggestion. I have a feeling some of the Rolians know a lot about CAS but most of us (including myself) do not. What happen when CAS workers knock my door?

I am not sure if we have any volunteer who know CAS well, is willing to document his / her knowledge. And people who had previous encounter with CAS can also share their experience.

I believe most parents (Chinese or not) love their children. We may have some anger managemnet during a very bad day; we all do! Unfortunately, sometime we lose our temper to our children and if CAS know about such rare situations; it is their responsibility to investigate. If we know CAS better, how it operate? What is their policy/guideline? then we can handle better with CAS investigations.

Do we have any volunteer who like to spare their time to setup a Chinese web site that would allow our community to learn more about CAS and also our right, what we should do..... etc. And I know some of you don't like this idea but we may even approach CAS to ask for funding; after all this web site can also be used to educate Chinese community how to avoid child abuse. Child abuse is not just from parents, your children's piano teacher, hockey coach or even volunteer (like me) can post danger to your children. Do you want to learn more on how to protect our children from CAS? And at the same time learn how to protect our family from CAS.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net

        It is not their fault that they don't know and neither their family's fault. Most of us don't know anything about mental health.

        For most Chinese families, they may not even know the definition of children abuse in Canada. I recalled you said how your father "train" you; you are the lucky one who is aware that the same form of training is prohibited but not all the new immigrants are as smart as you and know Canadian regulations.

        And I hope if we can have a Chinese web site about CAS and child abuse, it may help to reduce similar disaster happen in future.
