I'd urge all councillors to vote for agreement IF
in exchange, Mayor Miller resigns. Now that would be worth every penny.

I have resisted dumping my garbage...
at the temporary sites so my shed is full. Food waste is in lawn bags to lessen the smell. Hope they pick it up but the bins are, well, yuck. Not a good time for breakfast but I'm sure it was all worth it. Gee, reserve funds drained, crying poor to the province, $1.6 billion for street cars, union buyout. I sorry Mr. Miller but my pocket has already been picked.

There goes the neighbourhood.
Some areas of the City seemed to be the cleanest I have seen since the early 60s (including many streets in less fashionable neighbourhoods) while the strikers were on the picket lines. Civic pride and generous Torontonians seemed to do a better job than those actually paid for street maintenance. Should this conduct continue and less public littering might enable a reduction of general labourers the City employs lessening costs to future taxpayers? MJT, Etobicoke

good timing
By coming back on Friday, the employees meet the labour code requirements to get paid for the holiday Monday. That's some mighty fine bargaining there, Mayor Miller.

Free unlimited waste.....
so the members can grab as much overtime as they can, how in the world does Miller think it's free. Can they pick up 2 or 3 times the garbage with regular hours ? The only unlimited waste was the last 40 days.

Any chance Council won't ratify deal?
I would love to see Council reject the deal. The joke would be on Miller for sure. Just call it Round Two. And I'm all set for it.

Lets move on
Listen, if the City thinks it does not have the money to pay it's workers, then they need to reduce the number of employees, simple.

Unlimited garbage...
Isn't that what we just went through 5 weeks of? And just what do they define as "unlimited" waste. Does this mean we can all clear out the crap in our garages which we would normally have to hire a dumpster to handle? Once again, unclear and confusing instructions from city hall. What else it new?
