Today, my manager told me Dec. 23 will be my last day, I started working on Mar. 2 2009 under TN Visa (one and half year) through an agency for a contract job. I bought round ticket from Newark to Calgary leaving on Dec. 23 and back on Jan. 3 just a week ago. Could any one help me on:
1. Can I get UI (Unemployment Insurance)? How can I apply?
2. How to cancel my TN? how to apply for B1/2?
3. I may not come back on Jan. 3, but I am afraid that I may not have enough time to complete everything before Dec. 23, can I apply B1/2 on Jan. 3 at border / custom?
