Try not to bring up TN until after the offer. If they ask you whether you need sponsorship, reply with a resounding NO. If they ask clearly if you need a TN, tell them yes but ...

it'll have 0 complications for them. Tell them you don't need their help to get the visa. And you'll get the visa in a matter of minutes.

Surprisingly large number of recruiters know nothing about TN. It's kind of understandable because lots of them are young and not well educated. So we should try our hardest not to confuse them. Give them a blank check. Hold their hands. Assure them everything will be right. Avoid any controversies until you get the offer.

Why after the offer? Because the more people invest in something, the less likely they'd back off. On the other hand, they often walk away from the slightest hint of trouble at the beginning. Like with stocks, the more you lose, the less likely you'd sell.
