2) They should follow the model of York Region. The YRT owns the vehicles and maintains the routes, but the people who drive the buses and maintain them are employees of contracted companies. I believe that there are five different ones operating the system right now. Each route is accountable to one of them.
3) Wow. Apparently there's no "minimum age" when it comes to immaturity ... (i.e. instead of owning up and admitting there are a few bad apples, the bottom of the gene pool figure it's better to strike back "ad hominum" ...). Pathetic.
4) Perhaps they've never heard that two wrong don't make a right. We had a transit strike for two months in Ottawa a year ago and they still haven't recovered their ridership as people found other ways to get around, car pooling, biking, etc. Just do your jobs, TTC, and the public won't have anything to complain about. And if you don't want to do that, realize you can easily be replace by people who are willing to work for their pay cheques.
5) classic example of union bullying. this is a classic example of the unions trying to bully management. it was, and continues to be a huge part of the problem with the Big 3 in the US (workers are ridiculously overpaid and get insane benefits compared to competitors of the Big 3). unfortunately we here in toronto don't have the option of switching to another brand. the ttc needs a full make over. while there are plenty of good ttc workers, there actions are overshadowed by the bad ones (how often do you forget a good gesture, only to remember a bad one?). i say let the workers strike, and then ttc management needs to pull a reagan (air traffick cntrlrs) and fire them all.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
