1. when you receive your H1b notice, you will find a new I-94 attached to the notice of action. it should be used with your old td i94. you will tell the boarder that you are coming to work.
2. for Canadian, you can get all H visas, TN/TD, B1/2 at the boarder instead of consulates. but even for Chinese PR in Canada, you will receive multiple entry H1b, there is no issue of visa application after the first time anyway.
3. there are 1 day passport service in Toronto, not sure if it is applicable to the first time passport application though.

3. No. you will get a citizen card--you can apply a Canadian passport later with it. Your H1B is going with you, not your passport. so, bring the notice of action to the boarder, they will put a new I-94 on your canadian passport.

第一点：按你的意思来讲这样的话我不就还是以td身份进入美国了么，进关的时候如果问我去美国做什么，我如果说工作，那这个td签证的i-94可以继续使用？允许我这样入关？
第二点，我理解的用加拿大护照会中国的方便在于加拿大护照回中国只需要提前在这边申请回加拿大签证就可以，如果中国护照h1b回国那还得预约去美国大使馆签证，感觉就便捷，时间以及难以程度上，用加拿大护照回去更方便，这个指示指短期。
第三点，你的意思是不急着当时就申请护照，宣誓拿到公明卡后还是拿着中国护照和 notice of action过关？好像宣誓后如果加急是不是很快就可以拿到护照的？

2. don't know exactly what is the situation now. I got a US multiple H1b when I was a landed immigrate, but it was 10+ years ago. and H1b is always 3 years and can be extended once. (all 6 years,if no green card under processing)
