You should be able to apply the GC with TN. Just make sure you better get 3 yrs TN , so it gives you enough time for the EB1-GC.

You better insist company to apply the EB1-GC for you.If possible, make them write this in offer. Or at least GC application should be written in offer.

As you will stay in Canada. You need TN or not depend on
1. will you travel to US for working purpose as a employee of US company, not its branch in canada.

2. Which entity will pay you. If your pay is directly from the US company and you are their employee. You may need the TN for Tax purpose because you need the TN for applying the US social security number.otherwise US company can not pay you.

Do not be shy tell all your request and concern to you company and its lawyer.if they really want you, they will help you.

      The I-140 can be approved within 4~8 months. Then go with Consular Processing (USCIS send ur case to NVC, and NVC send it to Montreal US Consulate. will take 4~6 months), need interview at Montreal US Consulate. After the interview, you will be issued an immigration visa. Enter into the U.S. with the visa, you will be a Green Card holder. And you need meet the requirements to the U.S. immigrants, to retain your green card.

      直接走移民之路不合适。因为走eb1b你必须得有sponsor.所以得先工作签证再移民。不过O-1签证材料比较麻烦，要准备一些推荐信什么的，比较费时间。但如果你能拿到O-1，那么按eb1b移民肯定没有问题。
