1. When the extension application is still pending, if you still stay in US, your current TN status is still valid (even the current TN is already expired )untill your extension application decision is made
2. When you leave US with expired TN, you immediately loss the status even your extension application is on pending. And you extension application become invalid also after your leaving
3 . You CANNOTuse the application notice to reenter the US
4. When you re-entered the US, you will need to go through the TN application process again, same as what you have done when you applied the first TN.
5. I believe mail-in application are much easier to pass as long as you meet the requirement. At the border, it also depends on mood of the POE officer at that day. Someone is not that rational

    在下以TN身份在美国工作，现在到期，原本有两种续签申请方式：
    1， 再到边界城市，重新入境，申请TN。当时就给。
    2。公司添一张表，寄到政府。得等一个月以上，当续签被批准前，还可以继续在美国工作一段时间。

    但是现在问题来了：已经以第二种方式 申请续签，但这次好像很慢，旧的已经过期，新的还没下来；但收到政府的回执，表示政府正在处理。
    现在想出境，问题1 ：凭政府的回执，可否再入境？换句话说，想要出境再回来，还需不需要在边境以第一种方式重新申请TN？
    问题2，在西雅图附近，哪个海关可以方便的出境再入境处申请？维多利亚岛比温哥华近一些，可不可以？
