Reputation and Cloud are two things in office politics.Reputation is built ground-up, over the years how you treat ur fellow co-workers and how you keep your commitements; Cloud is top-down, how you get connected with senior management and who is your sponsor.
People with a cloud but without a good reputation are usually bullies; people with a reputation but without a cloud are usually victims. For smart poeple like us,we should use one to benefit the other.

Excellent points, laomao. But clouds are so high in the sky, wonder how I could get some?

Some times, if used smartly, reputation will be very helpful to get some cloud.

+1. Indeed, no matter what the context is, he took the easist way out, leaving his family behind to suffer -- in that sense, he's indeed a coward.

What he did doesn't show his courage at all. Rather it shows his lack of courage. He couldn't handle the challenge of life, and hence chose to quit -- taking the easiest option to kill. I wouldn't say he's evil, but he's a coward for sure.

Come on buddy. I'd rather say most of the people here are coward, not him. He showed his courage by defending his dignity. What would you do if it was you? Crying like a baby or kneel down in front of your supervisor and slap your own face???

"Dignity"? Just what dignity did he defend? Do you even understand what "dignity" really means?

It's possible that the supervisor was a overly-picky jerk, but this is not uncommon everywhere. The right attitude is to take it as part of the nature, and to deal with it within the rules of the game. Tossing the gameboard is never a solution.

the question is who is making the rules? who made the gameboard? you need come to the real world every once in a while.

If you don't like the rule of the game, move to another game, or start your new game. Don't tell me killing is the only other game you know.

in the real world, that's the game America choose most of times, and it really works for them. 用中文说就是“屡试不爽”。

This is a tragic event -- for both families, and maybe both nations. Wang's family is clearly suffering -- I couldn't stop my tears when reading about CBS's reporting on his wife's reaction. However, this is no reason to endorse Wang's killing. In fact, he's the coward who lets his family down.

这哥们还看不惯其他护理人员对待病人的手法和水平. 难怪被人整,加上说话的时候口音重, 经常运用书面语言对话, 肢体语言动作大,估计不过是指指点点的习惯而已, 放大一下就变味了" It is important to note that Dr. Wang speaks with a heavy accent, in a very formal manner and regularly gestures with his hands when speaking"
" as some sort of exaggerated excitability and emotional impairment "
